Senior Software Developer .Net (Adelaide)

Posted 26 February 2020

About the role:

ADVAM are entering an exciting new phase and are looking for a new Senior Software Developer to help us establish a major milestone in the company history.

Our team is enthusiastic and passionate, embedded in a strong culture of creativity, working in an Agile test-driven development environment, utilising software best-practices to develop best-in-class software.

We’re looking for a savvy, tech-hungry engineer to employ the latest technologies to develop innovative payment solutions. We have a unique opportunity to build something awesome, that leads the way towards a cashless society.

You’ll get to flip bits, pack bytes, build and interface to REST/SOAP APIs over secured encrypted authenticated connections. This will all be driven from your responsive web design application, exploiting the latest AWS architecture and components.

You’ll also get to master powerful modern-day development tools to design and develop user friendly GUIs; deep-diving into database execution plans and debugging multi-threaded call-stacks. This will all be supported by your documentation and product presentations.

We’re currently at a stage of development, with more ideas than hands. You’ll get to play a key role in both helping develop our future and take ownership of the architecture and development of significant parts of our platform; being intimately involved in all stages of the software development life cycle.

To be successful in this role you will have been the key player in the success of previous software projects and are excited about the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills in a new team. You’re enthusiastic to continue your technical learning and love to share your extensive knowledge with the team. You’re an ambitious team player who understands the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

What you bring to the role…

  • Your relevant tertiary qualifications in IT.
  • You will have more than ten years of experience under your belt building web-based solutions.
  • C# and .NET allow you to get the job done quickly (but are not the only languages/libraries you know).
  • Developing .Net Applications within a professional environment for at least five years.
  • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented design and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience creating work item estimates.
  • Ability to independently manage time, working towards and meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining documentation of applications and systems.
  • Experience working within a Scrum team and an understanding of Scrum roles.
  • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented design and methodologies.
  • Experience with test-driven development using nUnit.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, ASP.Net, HTML, JavaScript
  • Experience using WebAPI and Web Services.
  • Experience writing User Stories and acceptance criteria.

Special Conditions.

Candidates must hold a valid police check, drivers license and be willing to undergo employment background screening.

Job postings are open until filled, unless otherwise specified. Resumes from agencies will not be accepted.
